\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCitizenship processes are governed by Citizenship Laws that is, the Constitution of Zimbabwe, Amendment [No. 20] Act 2013 and the Citizenship of Zimbabwe Act [Chapter 4:01] as amended. The Registrar General is mandated to perform the following functions in terms of the Citizenship of Zimbabwe Act Chapter 4:01:-\r\n\r\n \r\n

  • Establish citizenship<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Confirm citizenship<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Grant citizenship<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Accept and process applications<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Manage renunciation of Zimbabwe and foreign citizenship<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n \r\n\r\nThere are three ways by which a person can become a citizen of Zimbabwe. These are Citizenship by birth, descent and registration.\r\n\r\n \r\n

      • Marriage certificate where applicable<\/li><\/ul>
