Issuance of travel documents that is Passport and Temporary Travel Document, (TTD) is governed by the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment [No. 20] Act 2013 and Passport Instructions of 1984. The Registrar General is required to regularly update the security features of these documents to align with technological advancements and international standards. Travel documents are issued to eligible citizens and non-citizens of Zimbabwe.<\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Processing Time for Travel Documents<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

    • Normal Passport - 7 working days<\/b><\/strong><\/li>
    • Urgent Passports - 48 hours <\/b><\/strong><\/li>
    • Temporary Travel Document (TTD) - 24 hours <\/b><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n

      Internal passport applications are applications by citizens ordinarily residing in Zimbabwe.<\/p>

      Requirements<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

      • Birth certificate<\/li>
      • Adoption order where applicable.<\/li>
      • Original national identity document (polythene-synthetic, metal or paper ID (green waiting pass) with a photograph bearing applicant\u2019s ID number).<\/li>
      • Marriage certificate where applicable. Foreign marriage certificates to be verified with respective embassies.<\/li>
      • Explanatory affidavit for women who acquired national IDs in husband\u2019s surname without marriage certificates during the colonial era or immediately after independence.<\/li>
      • Divorce Order\/ Decree where applicable.<\/li>
      • Valid passport or TTD where applicable.<\/li>
      • Citizenship certificate or confirmation letter where applicable<\/li>
      • 2 x passport size photos (3.5 cm by 4.5 cm) for children below 5 years.<\/li><\/ul>

        For applicants under 18 years:-<\/b><\/strong><\/p>

        • Section 5 of the application form must be signed by either parent. In cases where both parents are outside the country, the section should be signed and stamped at the respective embassy.<\/li>
        • Parent\u2019s national identity document or valid Zimbabwe passport.<\/li>
        • Death certificate in cases where both parents are deceased, proof of legal guardianship certificate and legal guardian\u2019s ID.<\/li>
        • Police report for valid lost passports or TTD.<\/li>
        • Prescribed statutory fee.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n

          These are applications by citizens of Zimbabwe ordinarily residing outside the country. Submission of passport applications can be done in person or by someone with traceable relationship to the applicant. External passport applications are processed at all Zimbabwe Embassies and consular offices.<\/p>

          Requirements <\/b><\/strong><\/p>

          • Unabridged (full) birth certificate (manual or computerized) or abridged birth certificate in respect of adopted\/abandoned persons.<\/li>
          • Adoption order where applicable.<\/li>
          • Original national identity document (polythene-synthetic, metal or<\/li><\/ul>

            paper ID (green waiting pass) with a photograph bearing applicant\u2019s ID<\/p>

                    A Temporary Travel Document is issued for urgent travel in cases of emergency with a validity of one month.<\/p>
